Default thermal arc 85amp tig...

i got the hf 85 amp mig welding pretty well. I think im ready to start learning how to tig. egay has the thermal arc 85 amp (plugs in to 110v, i dont have 220v easily accessable at my house) would this be enough to do anything with? I'd like to at least attempt to make a manifold with it and the spare flange and pipe i have laying around. If its weaksauce, im just gonna go to harbor freight and buy their tig- its on sale for $199

which brings me to my next question- Can i run a 220V extension cord from my dryer to my portch? I dont see why i wouldnt i guess but where can i get one?

Just make your own ext. cord. You ever price out a 220v cord. I was gonna run a 220v ext. cord from my basement to my garage.
