does anyone knows if the vtec solenoid on the 92-95 civic vx (D15Z1) and the solenoid on the ex (D16Z6) are the same. because they look the same!!!. i was thinking that maybe they are the same but the diference from Vtec and Vtec-e is on the head an no on the solenoid...

 

i would imagine so, they both need 12v to do their thing and its the ecu that determines when.

 

what about the bolt hole patterns on the head? same aswell?

 

SAME THING, dizzy is also the same, as well as alot of other things.

 

exept for valve train cmponents yep, also ecu is different

 

what are you talking about, no ---- the whole head is differant, as well as pretty much every item inside and outside the motor. what i meant was a FEW others things are like oil pump, oil pan, pickup tube, water pump, oil squirters, i could go on.
