Default ALT swap question (b16a SIRII)

for those of you that have swaped a b16a in their 96-00 civic, what did you work out with the alternator
did you re-use your own alternator (from the d16) and extend the bracket in the back to accept it, or did you use the alternator that comes with the b16a and fix the wires

Problem 1: Meens replacing the upper alt bracket or extending the current one. If youve done this i've been trying to look for a pic of what it should look like. Also if there is a bracket for another trim that will work? and which would it be. and which atl belt did you use the old one from your d16 or the one for the b16

Problem 2: The wiring for the alternator is another issue, currently the harnes for the d16 is a 3 wire plug, but the b16 alt is a 4 wire plug. I want to know what you did to resolve the problem.

so basically
1- if you used the b16 alt with the 4 wire plug how did the wiring work out
2 - if you kept the d16 alt how did you fix the bracket

also i think the voltages/amps for the b and d alt are different so i dont know if that will be a problem or not

also i know that the alt from a 99 Si will pug and play but i dont have much time to look for one (swaping in a week)

thx

the answer is easy dude, if you are running obd1 grab any obd1 integra alternator, if you are running obd2 grab any obd2 alt. why are you making it complicated, definately use a Bseries alternator, just get the correct one for the obd you are running

the harness on my 98 lx is 0bd2 thats why the plug is three wire, but i found an alternator from a 99 SIR with 3 pin and the guy is going to take my jdm alt for trade

well in my case its a three wire because my car was made for canada
apperently i read on HT that the US models already have a 4 wire plug 96+ so i was just unlucky that the JDM alt that came with my B16 was also a 4 wire plug
