im looken at a ford focus ZX3 hatch se, sticker price is 14,900 and i can get it with rebates and i work for lowes so that gives me some and the trade in on my car 91 sentra xe auto, i can get this hatch for about 11,500 its a 5 speed is it worth it? or should i look at another car, 5 year 100,000 mile warranty too. i may mod it but not sure, just need a reliable daily driver right now w/ warranty that cheap

 

my brother has an 02, its a decent car. never really given him major problems. brakes, and a wiper motor (all warrantied)

 

yeah pretty decent cars. Althogh my bro got a factory lemon and had to have the head replaced after 30xxx miles

My wife bought her 03 ZX3 brand new and just lil piddly things that were covered under warranty but nothing major. My brother bought his brand new and about a year later the tranny went out and then I just had to put a new wheel bearing in about a month ago. His car is totally stock and the wife has an intake..exhaust..susp.. and she rips on it pretty good and runs like the day we drove it off the lot.

 

yea they a good car, i have a 2001 and i beat the ---- out of my car, only problem i have had is that the 3rd gear synchro fucked up, but it was fixed under warranty.

 

id walk to work before buying a focus

 

you just never know with a ford. could be a car that will never give you much trouble. but then again every week something could be breaking on it. just make sure you will be able to use that 100,000mile warrenty. because you will be thanking god it you had it till 100,000. right before the warrenty is up. i would cut all your belts and have them fix/replace everything. and then laugh at them as you peel out of there. screaming im never coming back
