Problem with the warranty is that any modification you do can void it. So even an intake could void all that 100,000 miles, and common be honest, are you really going to drive a Focus for 100k miles, what is that 6 or 7 years....Don't think it will even last that long, where are the escorts now, or what about the aspires.....Nah, then some warranties are for the original buyer, you can't transfer them so check that out first.

They are nice cars for a daily driver, but don't expect too much out of them. I would rather buy an 03-05 civic Si, used RSX or anything Jap made. Even if it doesn't have a warranty, you know all you need to do is put gas and change the oil and not worry about it.

what kinda of messed up deals are you signing? an exhaust destroys your warranty on the exhaust (oem) and RELATED components, if the engine blows up, its not related, so it should be covered.

heck, my bro has a intake and his MAF was still covered.

And knowing you Kaleb, you're not going to even HAVE the car yet and you're going to be shopping for parts... check and double check on all the warranty bs.

it depends on the brand and dealership.

With Subaru for example, anything you do even a BOV will void your entire warranty in most dealerships. I know it's the same with Mitsubishi. Of course they will have kids abusing the WRX's, STi's and EVO's, breaking something and bringing them in for service.

Most warranty agents will try to not pay.....Then there's other "sport" dealers that will help you out. In Florida there's only one Subaru dealer that will try and help, Mastro Subaru in Tampa, because they have an in house Subaru speedshop.

That's why I mentioned it, just check before you sign.

I am on my second one, first was an 01 auto and this one is a 05 5sp. I love them, the new duratec motors ae nice. Check over focaljet.com, an all focus forum. THere is some law, cant remember the name that states the warranty can only be void if a mod has directly caused the problem, many focaljetters ahve brung this up at dealerships and have nevr had any warranty issues.

Yea I talked with a nissan service manager about swapping out my muffler back in 01 and ask would it void my warrenty. He looked at me like I was a crackhead. So it depends on the stealership and maybe the service manager on duty.
