my friends father is in the navy and is getting him head bolts made, now dont get me wrong i hang out (another friends father owns) at a machine shop that builds parts for NASA and uses CNC for everything, but the military around here even sends all their difficult jobs to this shop

but please tell me reasons why you should just fork out the 50 bucks at a local parts shop over using some bolts made by a machine shop that doesnt even know all teh specs to make proper head bolts

 

I made a mold in a 2x4 and cast my own from molten spagetti and just threaded them when they were cool, they work unreal :P

 

If all you want is bolts that fit, get some from a junkyard.

If you want something stronger, then I guess you better study up on your metallurgy a bit so you know what material to make them out of.

 

i dipped my head bolts in hotrex's herpes...they have super strength now.

 

^^^hahaha...but seriously i have freinds who's dad work at a big machine shop and they make all sorts of ----. but this is something i wouldn't try.

 

I'd like to meet this hotrex guy/girl cause these jokes really make me laugh. I wouldn't touch the homemade bolts thing.
