i can have a custome made egt made for me but i need to give them the temp range i want to make it more accurate. so does any one know

At least run it 700-1600

 

just use a k-type thermocouple. i'm getting readings anywhere from 300-950.

 

Most probally it will have an LCD or LED Display.
The Max chip they use gives you an automatic range of 0-1250 degc
With sub 1 Deg accuracy.

Youd basiclly be intrested in anything 600Deg c and up till it melts the pistons.

 

I'm with David, but let's get on the same page fellas. David I'm sure is talking about Farenhiet not Celceus(sp). I heard over 1400-1500 is where you start getting concerned about your temps. I just wish you didn't have to like weld in a bung. Any other way?

not trying to thread jack but i just got a egt gauge and i dont want to put it in my turbo manifold for fear of it craking later on down the road. could i put it at the begining of the down pipe?

 

that is where i have mine.
