I've got a z6 block layin around but no head, so I'll probably just throw on my d15b7 head, and I've heard some bad things about vitaras lately, so I'm thinking about just using the stock z6 block for boosting my car again.

With stock z6 block, b7 head, and stock y8 hg I get about 8.6:1 cr

with stock z6 block, b7 head, and 2-layer y8 hg I get about 8.1:1 :P

If I got the vitaras, I'd probably get some tuner toys rods, and a higher comp head eventually, but I'm thinking I'd be better off boosting the stock stuff and saving up for some higher quality internals (eagle, wiseco, etc.)

What do you guys think.

 

I don't think vitara's are worth anything more than stock pistons, if I was going to go to the hassle of building an engine, I would throw some forged stuff in there.
