Default D15Z1 head (vtec-e) on a D16Z6 block with Vitaras?

This is my first D series, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I searched around and couldn't find my exact answer. Most of the buildups were the other way around (Z6 head on a Z1 block).

I know that the D15Z1 head has 25.3cc combustion chambers, and I understand how vtec-e works. I've got a D16Z6 block here with TT rods and Vitaras, and I'd like to get a bit higher compression ratio than the Z6 head would give me. If I throw this D15Z1 head on, will I notice a huge drop in power due to the smaller ports/valves? Would the Z6 ARP headstuds fit still? Which timing belt would I use? This is a weekend car, but I wouldn't mind using it as my daily, so the gas mileage would be great. My goals are ~350 horsepower, or whatever it may take to run a low 11's or 10's. This is all going into an 88 DX, so weight is down quite a bit. Any insight would be awesome. Thanks.

vx head is junk it wont be able to flow any real power. The d head already is a disadvantage. The port volume of a vx head is very close to a hf or cx 8 valve head. Would you try to make big power with that?

d16a6 heads are cheap and Im sorry it doesnt have vtechhhhhhhhhh but it owns in the racing world

I really don't care about vtickle, but those are the two heads I have laying around. I guess I'll rebuild the z6 then.

True. Get a HX head and run the same setup as Jago which is my old setup. Y5 head and Z6 bottom end.
