I just got a 1992 Integra RS, the guy told me that the shocks would need replacing and that they sometimes popped. Well when I let off the gas sometimes I do hear a popping noise from the front of the car. I was wondering if this was really the shocks or something else. Other than that it drives fine besides needed the tires balanced. Thanks in advance

 

Check the ball joints. My uppers were completely shot when I got the car and it did that badly.

 

Worn-out motor mounts also make funny noises when you let off the gas. But I agree. Whenever you buy a used car, the first thing should be a look over the suspension and brakes, duh. :1
