Default My Turbo D15z1 Vtec-E owns you foos

This setup was a spur of the moment thing setup because I had most of these parts lying around.

- Probe IHI RHB5 VJ11 / 8.7 psi
- Vx mani
-Ol skoo bmc adapter plate
-1g dsm bov
- part dsm piping and some leftover exhaust piping (dumpster diving )
- custom 2.0-2.5" down pipe and flange made by me
- 240cc injectors max duty cycle at 70% I was pretty surprised
- basic crome
- Plx m300 wideband
- vtec is hardwired to my underdash accesory box. Vtec-e engaged at 2000 anyways so I decieded to run it all the time so there wouldnt be any headaches with crome.
-z6 trans w/stock clutch holding fine

*Kills*
2.4L stratus swapped Neon from a 1st gear roll
WRX turbo wagon stock, from a launch and roll
80s' camaro gear drive blah blah blah, from roll

My car has very good midrange and top end ok , when I spiked to 15 psi it felt damn good up top, fixed the issue only running at 8.7 psi

there is piping ran through the stock airbox and intake arm.... if you've ever seen the z1 throttle body its tiny, fits inside a normal d series TB. so I had to use a b16 intake arm with part of a h22 airbox to get all the piping to fit.

I like it a lot, its the cleanest i've seen yet. Are you thinking about IC in the future. Is your ECU p07? i didnt know those could be chipped. the car prolly feels a lot faster compared to the stock vtec-e, nice job. And that turbo is ------- tiny i think its as big as my t25

look clean but that motor with that turbo will offer zero power at all.

i had a vx hatch and i know what your working with. i also had a a6 crx with that turbo. the vx tranny alone is enough to make you cry. nothing like going 85 in 1st gear.

forgot to mention I have a z6 trans, the turbo has a great mid-range, wich the z1 has the best midrange cam of any d series. I love it just for my daily driven hill climbing lol. After all this turbo was on a i believe a 2.2L probe so its not too bad for my 1.5L 6500 redlining vx. I had one of these turbos on my a6 crx also when I was a noob But I know what you mean by no power I had a T3 42 48 on my a6 and that was really fun

Yes its a lot faster especially with the z6/si trans, there prolly will be a bigger IC when I run a higher psi just for the ---- of it. The ecu is a chipped p06 there are 2 types of p07's one that is exactly like the p28 which is the cali vx's only but the rest are non chipable for now, pgmfi.org crew is trying to make it work since there is a factory wideband built in but there hasnt been updates for a while

Dam thats a clean *** setup...did you run charge piping inside your stock filter and up through the tubing to the TB?

I can vouch for this car... pretty ------- quick... you'd be suprised.. everyone is all about the big turbos but this sucker rips pretty good.

we were pulling in 2nd gear on an h22 swapped cx hatch, one that I know has ran 14.0 flat at 5200ft elevation
