Default will this work?

im making a manifold for my D and i have a lincoln pro-core 100 mig welder, the pipes are 304 shed 10 stainless will the welder be capable of holding a solid weld or should i spend i few extra bux and have someone else do it? i know most of it is the person welding it and not just the welder itself but i need to get the car done and i dont want something to break so im trying to do things right the first time around so i dont have to go back and fix them beacuse i was half assing it.

Easily done, done many times, do it yourself

If your worried about your welds just practise, grab some scrap metal (preferably what your manifold will be made of) and just try and run some lines

havent got much time to play with the welder in a while and i also have to buy new wire...what wire would you guys suggest?..im just using .35 mig welding wire....it seems to hold really well...also i forgot what settings were which, im not sure which is the highest and which were the lowest ..i'll have to mess with it and find out...does it matter which setting i have it on or do i just find a setting that i weld the best on?...im thinking more of a stronger setting...but im a newb at this so we'll see what happens ..i'll post pics

If you're flux-coring it I'm starting to suggest to people to try thin wire, to avoid burning through on high heat.
If it's mig, .30 or .35. Start with a higher heat setting (75-100% depending), and a medium wire feed speed. If the weld sounds unsteady - First make sure your hand isn't shaking like a leaf in a hurricane! You need more wire speed. If you're blowing holes through it, start backing off the heat & simply welding faster.

W O T is all over it. Just get some practice scrap for free, or a few bucks the same metal & basic thickness you're project will be & lay down some practice first. If you've never done it before & just start on your actual project... You're in for something that I'm sure you can make work, but it's going to look like ----!

ya me and eric played with it for a few hours 1 day and i dont think it could burn through steel ...i didnt burn through my charge pipes...or any of the exaust pipes iv been practicing on...im still making my collector which is turning out rather nice and i still have to figure out where im having my wastegate come out of the collector so it fits ok..the manifold im making is a top mount manifold, i bought a cheap header and im making an adapter which that is what im welding, i have 4 90's and 2 12" pipes which are now my collectors...i wish i could post pics but my camera got left in aruba
