Default oil in brand new turbo

just drove my fresh rebuilt motor and new turbo setup for the first time

total of a 5 min drive and 1 mile

come back to check for leaks

sure enough theres oil in my comp housing of my brand new turbo

thikning its either the drain or the line being too big or maybe the brand new oil pump or maybe all three

the drain comes down out of the turbo and then sits almost level with the pan maybe its not getting in there im not sure to tell you the truth

line is -4 stealthmode kit

discuss

If your return line is large that will not produce coking. You oil pump is producing adequate flow thats good. A restrictor is probably your best bet. -AN4 line is larger than -AN3 (which Im using) and thats too much pressure. I just ordered mine from ARP.
Wed. Ill see the results.

not that the return is large but it is drooping below the pan before it goes into it

im going to chop the drain down a bit to get more of a straight shot to the oil pan instead of letting it level out

after that maybe ill need a stealthmode restrictor

yeah just make sure your not pushing more then 75psi to that turbo, whether its new or not it will blow those seals quick.

I got a turbo from the junk yard and i also got the feed line fitting. If i check that presure on the fitting, and it goes above 75 psi, is it assumed i don't need a restrictor valve?
