2000 B18b LS tranny s80, gear pulling
When i remove the bolt from the gear shaft all I can do is remove a spacer.
There are 2 bearings afterwards.
The first one is stuck while the second one moves back and forth freely.
How do I remove the first one?
Should I use a gear puller or with that ---- up the bearing?
I thought this ---- was supposed to come off easy!
I'm changing final drives, if anyone was wondering why I made the post.

put on a leather glove, hold the countershaft between 3rd and 4th, hammer on the end (nut end) of the countershaft with a 3 lb softface hammer. thing will slowly come apart. Once the first bearing comes off (one with the groove for the lockring) the next one = be careful.
The gears can slide off easily, just keep everything in order, esp. when reinstalling the syncho hub and slider, then make sure it aligns with the 3 nubs on the synchro.......
