I built my second mini-me now.
This one doesn't run as good as the other one.
I have low speed knock when @ part throttle accelerating untill aprox 3500 RPM.
There is also the problem with the low (600-650 rpm) idle.
I re-adjusted the TPS to 0.45 V @ Idle.
I also re-adjusted the idle with the IAC plug off.
Specs:
EDM Civic EG8 Manual trans (OBD0)
D15B2 with Z6 head and manifolds
Converted to OBD1
Stock P28 ECU

Anyone have solution?

cam 1/2 tooth advanced, possible valve smackage due to carbon buildup and valve reilef mismatch.

 

I know the sound of hitting valves.....unfortunatly.
The engine runs fine when i slam the throttle.
I cleaned the piston tops and cylinderhead completly before i put it on, so i don't think it's carbon.
I had it from day one.

More than likely this is your problem. If you're running the stock z6 timing gear with the d15 things just don't really line up perfect enough for your cam timing. I believe the d15 cam gear is something like 1 tooth less than the z6 gear, but i can't remember for sure...been a little while since i fucked with d-series. Get an adjustable gear and try that.

 

The weird thing is...it didn't do it on the first mini-me i built.
That was exactly the same as this one.
It is still doing this after 2000 miles.
Otherwise i'll take the D16A6 shortblock i still have, and put that in.
we'll see.......

 

Could be that your last mini-me was retarded 1/2 a tooth and this one might be advanced the 1/2 instead.
