I would like to understand why you think it would damage the injectors?

I was wondering the same thing. Since the walbro 255 is a high pressure pump, i was thinking that it might over work the stock injectors. It'll be fine, right?

You want a high volume pump. Not high pressure.

If you get a HP (high pressure) version of the walbro pump, your stock fuel pressure regulator may not be able to keep up and will lead you into a slightly rich condition.

Thats a maybe and not a definite...
