Yes you can use it on MAF.

We used one on my neighbor's Subby 2.5rs build. He's MAF. Actually there are 3 different MAF settings.

Hmmm....I thought there was some reason you can't use them on the VW's? I know the TBW thing is going to be different. VW's are weird.
