Default Code 7 after turbo install

Well i finished installing my turbo kit last night and i cranked my car for about 30 seconds with the spark plug wires off to let the oil run throught the turbo then i fired it up and it idles anywhere for 2900-3500 rpms. I drove it down my street and its spools just fine and doesnt bog or anything. Its throwing code 7 which is throttle position sensor. well i got my volt meter and check the red wire on the plug and it was giving me like 1.637 volts with the key in the "on" position. As far as i know it should be at .5 volts right? do i have to replace it or can i adjust it? Oh and i did take the actual sensor off to put the missing link under it except i had the wrong missing link so i just put it back on with screws; could that have messed it up? Thanks the for help!

If your TPS is really at 1.67 volts, its beyond fucked and couldnt be reset to spec.

Even if you think they are in the right position, try switching them. It won't hurt anything, and may fix it.
