I don't think you should be worried about the legs being bent inward until you put the harness bar in. It would only take a very slight too much of a bend to make it do that, but when you install the harness bar you can actually use the harness bar to push it back out. More than likely it will push them back out anyway if there was a slight "bent too much" in the manufacturing process.

My main hoop I actually cut about 2" off of to get it where I wanted. It would be strange that yours seems too short right off the bat, but you could always fiddle with the plates to get some height out of the main hoop. You could also build "boxes" that attach to the rocker panels as well. One thing that I didn't do that I'm going to now is to attach the floor plates to the rockers because I don't like the thin floorpan saving my ***. The 2 middle bars I'm also building a box for where I originally welded them to the floor with no plates.

I'd bolt the plates to the floor before I welded them to the floor if i had to do it all over again. No doubt.
