I'm swapping in an ls/vtec into my car and have a cable tranny for it. I don't want to put a hydro tranny in because there is a $500 diff. between my tranny and a hydro. Also, I know that Hasport make's mount's and conversions for this topic but I cannot justify paying $375 for the kit! Has anyone done this before to their car's? I just was looking for a few pics. of someone's way of making a bracket to rig up the clutch slave to the clutch throw out arm. thanks

You should be able to find a hydro LS for $350ish and if your cable trannys in good shape you can get that out of it.

 

No my friend, you must be on crack. There's a local hook-up where I live that I get S1 cable transmissions from day in and day out for less than $100. So in turn, I'll just do the conversion thank you

yeah the mounts alone are kinda pricey just to switch. But why downgrade the tranny ol. hydro is far better.

save $300 buying a cable tranny (with a KNOWN weak pinion shaft) only to spend $300+ on the HASPORT kit that Locash made.

BTW Cable trannys go BOOM really easy.........this was at 20 mph in second gear
