Quick question on FMU's........ need help now!!!!
Ok some one in another forum told me that i could use a FMU off of any other factory turbo charged car for the time being until i get something better for my engine management...... is that true?? And if so what would be the best car to take it off of and what does it look like, does it look like the aftermarket ones or no
ALSO instead of useing the fmu could i use this

dude buying that gay *** excuse for a vtec controler, you could get your ecu chipped and injectors, and maybe a fuel pump too. and you wouldent need a shitty fmu or that shitty vtec controler. If you activate vtec like that all you're doing is litterly switching cam profiles. you're not switching fuel and ignition timing maps so its pretty much worthless.

FMU does not equal detonation. FMU equals crazy high fuel pressure on old lines that were never meant to take it. FMU equals straining your stock fuel pump if you don't upgrade. FMU equals No Tunability which is the worst reason to have one.
i wouldn't say no tunability. you can choose crazy high pressure or insanly high pressure. but increasing/decreasing the pressure is all you can do. but i am going to run an fmu because i am cheap and dont have option like honda guys. and the fmu that factory turbo cars have are 1:1. even some na cars have them. but the wont work as your only managment
ill prob just go with the FMU for right now and then upgrade later like i said she will be only running 7 psi or less so i dont think there should be a prob as long as she doesnt dog on it all the time..........
