90 Integra front brakes on my 89 hatchback...
Well i've been swapping around brake parts on the front of my hatch all weekend long, just finished up my disc rear conversion, and for ***** and giggles wanted to see if i could toss my 90 integra front brakes on the front of my car. Well, so far i can see from bolting on the calipers with a set of si slotted rotors i have that the brakes will physicly bolt on, but when i tighten the screws up for the rotor, it locks against the frame that holds the caliper. I'm almost tempted to try and throw some heavy duty washers behind the rotor to bring it out a bit so it won't lock up, but that will only bump my wheel out more and probably put too much strain on the caliper and rotor because it probably won't be centered properly. Anybody even tried anything with this before? I know i can use civic ex brake parts, but i'm kinda broke after the holidays here and you don't find ex civics in the junkyards around me either.

If I can't figure out anything on this i guess i'll just be swapping the Si front brakes over instead, not that they would make too much of a difference over stocks.

No, the problem that i've read is it ends up adding positive camber because the shock mount point is in closer to the chassis. But it doesn't matter...i milled down the bracket and it fits on beautifully. Only downside is that i have to use the Si rotor, but that's no biggy either..plus it's slotted and cross-drilled. The size difference in the caliper pistons is monstrous...stock is around 2", the integra is at least 3". The rotor clears perfectly and i'm going to swap out the stock proportioning valve for an integra unit, although i'm half tempted to order an adjustable unit because i do want to run the car on track (road course, not 1/4 mile you wimps
) and i'd like to be able to adjust it to suit driving conditions. Maybe if i have some time i'll take some pics, and maybe even do a write-up on it in the spring when i get to test it...if it all works out.

Well take it from some one who has done it.
It worked for me. With a reqular drop with springs I still had to adjust my camber out. People say that it causes the car to run more postitive but I never noticed it. I still had to ajust and grind my upper a-arms to clear because I had to push them out so far.
Pics with 15" Rims. My Calipers are shaved to fit my 13" Slicks which normally can't be done with TEG Brakes.
