Aren't these things supposed to have a battery to hold the memory you upload?

I don't have any chips right now so I have been using my ostrich in my car. The only problem is that as soon as I unplug it from the computer, it loses all the data on the ostrich, and so every time I start my car I have to upload the bin again first.

Maybe its something I can get fixed. We'll see.

Call Craig and have him fix it (which of course he will) or he might just tell you to change the battery. I think it's a AAA

U might have gotten a bad battery somehow. I run my car off of my ostrich.

Craig will take care of you though, no issue.

 

eh if its just a TripleA, I aint even gonna sweat it. I can change a battery, I just wanted to make sure it didn't use some bunk *** special battery thats hard to get your hands on.

 

It only lasts "75 years" because there is so little drain on it. It is just a standard AAA as far as I know.

 

there are 3 of them in there, they might have come loose. I know cause i was at Craigs house and he showed me the insides

Seriously tho; the first thing i did when i took mine out of the box was open it up i dont think i've ever owned an electronic device that i haven't taken apart
