Ill be putting the hmt kit on the car in a few weeks and would like to have a basemap made so i can drive the car to somewhere it can be tuned. But from what I have learned nether of the ecu's I have will work. One is a PG7 and the other is a 88 PM6. So what I am looking for is if any of you on the site that make people basemaps have a ecu that will work for my turboed zc laying around you want to sell. If not maybe I can find find one around my local junkyard and send it to you. Thanks

 

You need 90-91 PM6 or PS9 (automatic trans 90-91 EX). Avoid OBD0 PR4, they don't mesh perfectly with PM6 code, sometimes you have issues out of them. Not all PM7 are EPROM, pop the cover first, and don't pay more than a PM6 is worth because it's the same damn thing if you are just looking for an ECU to chip.

You say stay away from the pr4. Why? I found a pr4 today for 10 bucks at the junkyard. The reason i got the pr4 is because they have nothing else i can use.

I was trying to find someone on here that would make me a basemap. Then buy the time i have the car put together i hope to have found someone local to tune it.

Ive seen where some people on this site have chipped the pg7. Would anyone be willing to chip mine.
