Just got a question wondering what else can i use for my oil feed line besides the braided hose?

 

I wish someone would do an <b>FAQ</b> in the <b>Forced induction section</b> on this. Seems that it would only make sense.

 

didn't someone else ask this question like 2 weeks ago? or was it last week? man you can use anything. brake lines, rubber hose, fuel hose. anything that can get the oil to ur turbo... steel braided is just the way to go cuz its 1 less thing for you to think about after u put it on. rubber lines u need to worry about but maybe it was just me that had bad luck with them popping off in boost sending oil all over the place. steel braided is the way to go. cheap and very very affective

 

Just do it right the first time and you'll save yourself the hassel of redoing it later... or even worse, ruining your motor!!!

 

You can use some rubber hydraulic hose, with barbed fittings.

 

I used a grease gun hose for a while before swithing it to steel braided. The hose even had 1/8th npt male fittings on each side.

Yup. Did this my first season under boost, Secod I went to braided because I got it for free. Popping off? Never happened to me. Even my oil cooler was rubber. 10ft worth of 1/2 1wire Hydraulic hose from the farm surplus store, 4 hose barbs, not problems.

SS is better and looks nicer, but At the right place, the right rubber hose is less then 1$ a foot. Just make sure its' for oil, and has the proper pressure rating.

 

3/8 tranny cooler hoe and some barbed fittings.

all of jeffs early setups used that ----, i used it also for about 8 months with no issues.
