Default turbo cams worth the $$

IM looking at gettin a good cam for my Y8 build

are these cams worth the $$?

$250 ish for zex and crower

The crower's are pretty nice i guess. I wouldn't get the Zex just for the fact of Tranceminister's thread earlier. Couple people mentioned them snapping. And you'll be able to tell a difference with a cam specificly made for a turbo setup...longer duration to fill the cylinders even more than stock. Most people usually claim anywhere from 15-35+ hp depending on their setups and how efficiently all the pieces work together. Who knows...maybe even more than that could be achieved. I'm all about the performance mods, so i'd say go get some crowers.

i've heard of people calling Crane or Comp cams and telling them info on what they want, their HP goals, and alot more stuff about their car and they will custom grind a blank, or regrind a cam to any spec you want (or what they suggest with what you told them) for around $150-200 + the blank...and i do believe thats on the high side

its cheaper for a custom made cam?
