Ok..let me explain this cluster that I've got going on. I got a hold of a turbo out of a apex-i turbo kit for a 92-95 civic with a D motor. The turbo is made by IHI but I can't seem to find anyone who can tell me what the A/R numbers are on it. It looks very small...like a T3, but I'm not sure how to find out the trim. I have gone to apex-i's webside to no avail... I have gone to IHI's website and thier site it totally useless. I have a B16a that I have put into this 94 civic and I would like to use this turbo, it only has like 150 miles on it (out of a demo car), but if it proves to be too small of a trim, I don't want to waist my time fitting it onto my car. Does anyone know any other way to figure out what the compressor and turbine size are on this unit? (By the way...there are no part numbers on the case...all it says is IHI)

 

I hear that the the apexi turbo is good to 300 hp.
It Spools fast on a d16.
Good luck with it... I'm currently preparing a kit for my d16 and would be very happy to score the turbo you have. (I have a greddy td04, and a regular mitsu td04 but may want to go bigger.)

 

Yes...good to 300hp on a D16 that redlines at 5500 to 6000 rpms, but what I'm trying to find out is if it will flow enouph CFM's to make that on a B16 that redlines at 8000 rpm...?

 

IHI turbos are small...
i think i'd step up a touch with a b16...
buuuut, it would Rip in a d series...wanna sell it?

 

The only thing that I would want to do is to trade, If you have something with an internally waistgated setup, let me know and I'll see if we can work something. But you should say the work quick, cuse I'm going to be putting this tegether pretty soon...I hope!
