What to run with a turbo d15b2
im going to turbo my d15b2 engine, would i run obd1 or obd2? and what injectors should i use? Also would i need to chip my ecu? i have searched all this stuff up but i still dont understand what i would have to do with my ecu
Your car is OBD0.You need to convert it to MPFI as you have DPFI which has two fuel injectors similar to a electric carb.MPFI is what comes on SI Civics and CRXs and uses 4 fuel injectors on a rail each one supplying a cylinder.Your current injection is useless and you need to buy the following: complete MPFI manifold [with injectors, sensors, throtle body]MPFI distributor[88-91 SI]resistor box[silver box on top of fender]and a PM6 ecu[90+]-this you should get a chipped one from Xenecron on this site[sponsors].Then you will need to install that and there is a little wiring to be done. After that is done you will need a set of DSM[eagle talon etc]450cc injectors. The chipped ecu uses a socket to replace the factory soldered in chip so you can install and remove the chip. This allows you to run Turbo Edit which is a free engine management program. You download the program and you can make a basemap to get the car up and runniing safely. You follow the instructions as given on Xenecron's site and once your basemap is made you take a blank chip put it in a burner and load that program onto the chip and install it into the socket in the ecu.Hoipe that made a little sense. It can seem a little overwhelming at first but if you keep reading and reading it will start to make sense. If you are uneasy about making a basemap Xenecron will provide you with one if you buy a ECU from him and give hime the needed info on your setup.

first off you dont need to do a mpfi swap! its not needed, it would prob be better....I am runnin my dpfi and its just fine and I am running 7psi..you are obd0 obd1 is the best to go with though..I am currently runnin obd0 and I am eventually gonna go obd1 with a z6 intake mani for mpfi..get an fmu 12:1 off ebay for a $100 and get you an ecu chip for around $20.00 it gives you more fuel for up to 8 psi so that and an fmu would be just fine until you get greedy for more boost then you will need to mpfi swap and injectors with a good tune and you can go up to around 180 to almost 200whp but your rods are week..so you have to have a good tune...good luck with your setup man..

listen here man you dont need to talk ---- aight.. just cuz there are easier ways to do stuff..mpfi is better but you dont need it...am I right? dont talk ---- unless you are around to back your ---- up..I am just tryin to help him out, I am sure that he wants to turbo it and not have to go through tunning and all the mpfi wiring...just turbo the dpfi less work..and still quick as hell...
until boom. which will happen, because youve just turboed a motor with rods as thick as a sharpie. need to lear sometime go ahead and do the mpfi swap cause you dont wanna live int he stoneage.
haha, arguing is funny. https://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo_projects/d15b2/ there is a link to a project featured on here where they kept dpfi and put a bad boy turbo on without use of an fmu.
First of all you need to read more on here, and wherever else you might find information about honda electronic controls. I've been trying to figure it out for 3 years and I still don't know everything that's going on.
there are many ways to go about accomplishing what you want to accomplish. I think what 90dx told you to do is probably going to be the easiet way. good luck.

The D15B2 is extra weak bottom end so you are going to need a good tune to prevent putting a vent hole in your block. For the $100 why not switch to MPFI anyways.Being lazy never really pays off.
