Default Painted IC black. (pics)

After having my IC painted black once, the paint started turning blotchy white in places. (didnt prep well)
So I resprayed it with some left over silver. Looked ok, but I wanted black. This time it turned out much better.

Crooked (multi-zip-tied bumper cover) IC before:

With bumper cover removed:

Thats my roomates sweet *** 80Civic S on the right....makes for a good parts runner when the POS is down.

Condominium rule #14: No parts degreasing on your lawn.

My custom paint booth complete with spare keg:

IC getting a paint stripper facial:

My trailer park cat never misses out on a chance to get high:

Finished producted mounted:

BTW: never paint something with BBQ paint if you plan on stripping it again, it took three times w/ the stripper to get 'most' of it.

'custom' zip ties.....hehehe

Painting affecting IC effeciency? Really doubt it, only the front is painted, not the internals which is where the cooling (heat transfer) takes place.

I used 'aircraft remover', its safe for aluminum. Glob it on, let it sit for like 30mins and wash it off. It took 3times and a tooth brush on some areas. The stock 'plastic' like coating is a bitch.

I datalogged some short runs today, and ambient was around 67-70. None of my runs peaked over 85 (IAT) manifold temp. When sitting, the charge pipes/mani do heat soak a bit. (saw around 100-110 when in traffic)
As soon as I go WOT for a length of time the temps drop instantly.

Here is how my GhettoCooler compares to a Tyrus:

My roomate said "Dont ------- post this on internet": lol, big baby. :P
