Default 3 wire iacv working on obd1???

Ok dude I just finished doing this for my 1996 Civic CX. I am running it with an P75 ECU and it run's great. All you need to do for the IACV 3 wire to work with OBD1 ECU is:

On the OBD2 connector put a Jumper on terminals A12 to A14 and these connect to the A9 terminal on the OBD1 side. The third wire is A13 on the OBD2 connector and it goes to A23 on the OBD1 side.

That's all dude now your friend does not need to change the intake manifold.

Have fun!!!
i found this post on a different forum.. this guy says you dont need to swap your y7 intake with a 2 wire iacv y8.. just connect those pins and it works without any problem... is this true? anyone tried this before??

Didn't work for me.

The car would hit 1300 rpm closed throttle revlimit and bounce off it.

I suspesct what is going on here is that:

1) The IACV is doing nothing

2) The wiring has just been jiggled around so that the ECU reads some load dropped across the IACV, which gets rid of the CEL.

3) It's the same as blocking off the IACV and adjusting idle by fiddling the throttle stop + air bleed on the TB.
