Default wideband sensor placement

I have a t-25 with a hf mani and no downpipe (open o2 housing). I need to install my wideband sensor but, there are only 2 options.
1. put it in the hf mani
2. in the o2 housing of the turbo
Witch would be better? I am affrad that if I put it in the hf mani it will get too hot and trash the sensor but, if I put it in the o2 housing it is so close to the outlet it will not be accurate at all. I plan on getting a downpipe but for now I would just like to drive it and want to make sure it is not too lean, I will tune when I get a downpipe.

Your O2 wont last so long in the mani with those higher EGTs.

Put it 12"- 18" from the exhaust outlet on the turbo.

Thats what i read in the instructions but, I will only put it in there a little while to make sure I'm not running too lean.
