walbro 255 on an ef

Default walbro 255 on an ef

Who has installed a walbro 255 on an ef? I just got mine and I was wondering how hard it was and if anyone has any tips.

Supposedly there's 88-91 civic/crx's that you don't have to drop the tank, if you do it's going to take awhile long. Not really that difficult, there's a few hoses that are a pain to take off and put back on though.

What do you mean there is some that you don't have to drop the tank.

lol, ya bust out the sawzall and just cut a access plate, lol.. every EF I've ever seen you have to drop the tank. It is not hard.. it just looks hard. Few tips, either drain the tank or have it pretty low so its easy to maneuver. Also dont forget to put the screen on the pickup, and some people highly suggest replacing the oring/gasket for the fuel pump unit. Its a easy 1 hour job on the ground with basic hand tools.

Being in the USA, I've never seen an EF. Can't help you.

Someone on another forum was saying that on his crx si or hf it's under the seat?

There's a hardline on top, so you'd have cut a hole and cut like a line so you can pull the hard up aswell.

ooh just a bit of advise if you are talking about drillingand/or cutting with power tools on a gas tank you better purge that ---- you dont wanna go boom

you dont have to drop the tank to install the feul pump.you can cut an access panel out where the pump goes,thats what i did..
