whats a good price for a complete ls swap and where can i get one from?

 

Junkyard. Pull the valvecover and pull the oilpan if possible. I wouldn't pay more then 500 for a longblock.

 

for axles, shift linkage and everything?...i don't think there are any junk yards around here...

 

Yeah that was just what I'd pay for the longblock. Trannies aren't cheap no matter what cable or hydro for b-series. Thats what jacks the price up. I'd paid 115 for brand new axles for my swap. You can usually find B18A1 for 400 and under. I've been seeing them for the 2-400 range.

 

well i just got a b18a1 for 300.00...it had a machined crank and it was block gaurded..but no intake manifold or cam gears...arp headstuds and a brand new full gasket set...but i still want to get it rebuilt...and this company here said they would give me and ls swap everything i need to put it in my car...with only 20k miles for 1900.00...and i have 1900.00 right now...(well plus more)...but i don't know if thats a good deal...cuz this motor i just bought has 100k+ miles

 

Holy ---- 1900! About face and walk right out. Thats a slap in the face right there. Ask them where's the car that comes with it?

 

haha...i think thats a b18b...i dunno...i need one bad...i just don't know where to get it from...no junkyard around here...and all the ones i call don't have any ls motors...no b-series honda motors at all cuz the guys that work there get them all...oh and 2,300.00 for a si-r II b16 complete swap...

some guy down the street from me just payed the acura dealer 6000 dollers to put a new ls engine in his 95 teg i thought he was joking when he told me...

 

ha 6k id just go out and buy another teg. but yeah hmotorsonline has ls block for under 1000 check them out.
