Ok i am doing a turbod mini me.I got a 14b turbo from a 1stgen talon.I was wonder what do i need to get to make this turbo setup to work?Like what injector,bov,wastegates and what not.New in the turbo stuff.

 

theres a lot you need to learn besides someone giving you a parts list to make it work right, especially a mini me boosted they have high compression and need to be done right, you need to search and learn what it takes or your motor will be toast......

 

well ya i heard that the ydo have high comp.But i did a compression calculator on four different one sthey all said i would be running 9.5:1 comp.Wich isnt bad.But i know all i need to know about doing the mini me but not about boosting it.

Ok i figured what i need wich is charge pipes,ic,wastegate,bov,for turbo.But motor im stil a little confused so do i need to buy pistons to lower comp or no?BUt i do on plaining on put in eagle rods.

 

ok HEre is what i found out if i use this setup.
a6-block
y8-head
a6-head gasket
p2p-ecu-a6 deck height
9.5:1 compression
then use the same setup except cahng the ecu to a p28 and u get 8.8:1 compression
so what shoud i do is the p28 even work for that i am doing

i got 10.1 compression. your using the a6 pistons in the a6 block i'm guessing. i have a mini me an i ran low boost with like 10.3. no signs of detonation. i rebuilding right now and going with a 9.3 compression. you should be fine to run 8-10 psi with good fuel management. just remember, you can run rich all day long, but you can only run lean once.
