with headers, exhaust, intake on street tires that are somewhat wide 255 or 275

what about with a cam and some trickflow heads or some nice heads?

this fool with a stock 5.0 (im pretty sure) is talkin ---- about my Z, and even though this baby is hurting, i know it will kill a stock 5.0 no problem. but im trying to size up the situation, if he has this then he will do this, you know do the math on what he will need to beat seeing as my car runs a mid 12.

 

One thing I've learned with mustangs is
1. they are always stock no matter what is done
2. they always want acouple cars and the hit
3. with minor bolt ons a fox body is a pretty bad car
I'd say if he has got that ---- done he probably has a gear and some half way descent suspension and it probably is a solid 12 second car with a good driver also if he has a cam and it doesnt sound that big he could have an X cam which are bad *** cams but dont sound very big

 

ive beat 2001 a ss camaro with i/e and 4.10 gears with a really good driver

 

bolt on 5.0s are still slow NA. i ran 14.6@96 w/ headers/exhaust/intake/3.55 gears/AOD trans

with the stock heads its not going to be a beast. even with a cam.

with different heads on it... they wake the F up.

h/e/i/heads/cam can run 11s

 

Have you ran with your tt set up yet?

 

if hes confident like that, and hes not a dumbass. i would say hes got some giggle gas to back him up.

 

o but the thing is, he is a dumbass. im sizing up the situation, and putting money on the race.

 

My buddy in his 88 5.0 with 3.73's ran 13.9

 

What all do you have done to your Z? I can't remember what it looks like either.. just remember a JDM y0 pose you did once.

 

lol, that was my old Z heres my new one

the old z ran a 12.7 at 111mph, or 110, the mods included
single pop intake
downpipe
test pipe
catback
boost controller on 13 or 14psi
some type of upgraded clutch
nitto 555r
on a stock ecu

Now the new Z has all of that plus
lightened flywheel
6 puck clutch
lightened crank pulley (stock is seriously like 12 - 14lbs)
chipped ecu running a safer tune
