Default 1988 CRX/Civic Mutated Freaks of Honda?

I have a month 1 1988 CRX HF, with a d16A6 (probably also from an 88 Ecu stamped 4/88 PM6) And was wondering besides the passive rear suspension (makes my suspension options limited) is there any differences between the 88's and higher year CRX's? I've heard from people that there is a different spline count on the tranny, and axels, minor wiring differences. Also If i were to move up to the integra hubs, would i use SI axels or stick with the stockers?.

Also my pillar mounted seat belts rock you

yes teg knuckles need Si shafts
smaller clutch disc than 90-91
diff splines than 89-91
wiring differences are minimal and arent that important if swapping

I have an 88 civic dx and I didn't have any trouble with wiring differences between other years when I put the b16 in.

1. you can swap 89-91 civic/crx rear lower control arms right on and use the fork style rear struts.

2. 88 had seat belts mounted on the car rather than the doors (89 HF has it on the car too). this means the doors are much lighter.

3. 88 did not have the fast idle valve located on the back of the intake manifold (closer to the drivers side). so a 89-91 d16a6 will have this sensor but the 88 car will not have the wiring for it.

88 hf = lightest 2nd gen CRX made. enjoy!
