Holy crap dude, whenever I see your posts I think of that hillbilly that drove that Camaro, you all know the one I'm taking about.

"Usually when I drive like this, my dad hits me in the head with a shovel. Since he's not here, I'll do it myself"

Amperage has to do with the type of fuse that's on the circuit. Go downstairs to your fuse box and look

If you have a 120 volt outlet and the both blades are vertical that is 15 amp. if one is vertical and the other is horizontal or both than is 20 amp. Be careful because 220 vertical and horizontal looks the same but the vertical blade is on the other side.

if your running a 20 amp breaker, then that means it cannot exceed 20 amps. use a "fluke" multimeter to check the amperage.

You actually need a clamp on amp meter. Most multimeters won't give you amps. And I prefer Speary meters.

I love how everyone calls them Fluke meters, and amperage is a load measurement sticking a multimeter in a socket won't tell you ----.
