Guess it just couldnt take the heat anymore and the con rods wanted out of the block

Did the rod hit your turbo?

 

setup was:

91 D16A6
stock bottom end
ported A6 head
colt cam turbo grind camshaft
Garrett T3 super 60 turbo
38mm tial wastegate
3" exhaust
440 dsm's
2.5" charge pipes
modded starion front mount
turboedit ECU wideband tuned to 10psi
B&M FPR and FP guage.

ive been slowly building a LSVtec for the car, i guess i got no choice but to get that thing put together and get it in the car.

 

its possible that the rod or the blk chunks hit the turbo, but it didnt show any signs of failure.

 

Wow, nice size port hole in the block. Sorry to hear about you loss, oh well, onto bigger and more powerful things.

 

Are you goiing to run your LS VTEC turbo or non turbo?
