Default water pump noise

ok, so i have a jdm d15b. had it for about a year and today i went to do the timing belt and water pump. i ended up usin the z6 belt and pump cause the parts guy at honda matched them up and said it should work.so i get it all together and start it and its making this loud wirring type noise. a little smoke came out right above the water pump too. so i took it all out and looked at the water pump and re did the belt and start it again and it was still doiin it. the car got warm really fast also. not really sure what to do next. i think ill just try old pump with the new belt and vice versa. any one every experience this before?

ok. i took it all apart today and figured out the belt i have(z6 belt) is too long. just barely tho. i had to pull the tensioner higher to get it tight and then because it was higher the belt was rubbing on the mount bracket. anyone know for sure what the right timing belt for the jdm d15b is?
