You can tune with turboedit, regardless of your geographical location.

My suggestion would be to get a basemap and a wideband, but that's just me. I would imagine that if someone can tune ANYTHING they can tune TE. It looks pretty easy.

 

hey chris what is the closest airport (i did a search on priceline, from new ark to sd and they want $324) if i can find a price around $200 ill fly you out (and i can get you a good rate on a hotel room but you would have to cover that) or you can crash at chateau de steve (for free)

I was partially kidding although it would be cool to come to Cali...never been.

If this was something more serious i'd prefer to set up a 2-day thing and get like 3-4 cars per day...but it would probably be more economical to fly Leed down from WA I would think if you wanted to go balla style.
