Default vtec question of the day. HELP!!!!!

ok I just put my ls/vtec back to gether after blowing it about two weeks ago. I installed newer everything including a oil pump . and now vtec won't come on untill it reaches about 7k or 7.5k once it hits that point the first time it will stay on untill you get lower then 4.5k like normal but like it said for some weird reason it won't activate untill that point. it has worked properly once and then same thing. any body have a idea what is wrong sensor hooked up wrong ,low oil pressure any ideas would be great checked the vtec screen already and clean as can be. and oil is still so golden that you can't barley see it on the dip stick. oh ya and i Have tried two chipped p28's that worked fine and same problem. any ideas would be great thanks

do you think the pump or a pluged line wold have more to do with that? would a b18a1 or b1 oil pump do that? It is supposed to be a gsr.
