Default what is the best tranny

what is the best tranny for a D and a B and why? What is the top speed for them?
My DX tops out at 140.

for d series the zc tranny is best for racing, since its the shortest, but if you want top speed/highway cruising you can add a si 5th gear to the tranny to make a hybrid tranny best suited for acceleration and top speed
another good reason to use a zc tranny, is the equal length axles, gives a more even power distribution

but with the ZC axles, you have no options for adding a LSD later.

You have to decide your gearing needs, then figure out from there.

For example, my NA Z6 could care less if it had a stock EX tranny or a close ratio 3rd/4th in the 1/4 mile. Both went 15.02 at the time. But the close ratio was so much more fun on the street.........unless you drove a B series

I like my Y1, it's got pretty close gears, sucks on the highway though. About 5000rpms at 80mph in 5th gear.

see my Dx 1st is 35 2nd is 63 3rd is 105 4th is 125 5th is 140. Was thinking of
turboing my minime. What D has the highest top end.
so the zc has short shifts.
