Hey quick question guys, I've mostly stuck with OBD1 motors and so I am pretty much clueless about the OBD0 type motors. Does anyone know whether or not the intermediate shafts from the OBD1's B-series will fit on the B18a (obd0) I am assuming yes it will fit, but I need someone who knows for sure since I am planning on buying a b18a tomorrow.

Anything else that I should look for thats different on the B18A?

*EDIT*: Found the info. Yes it is the same. I think the only thing different is the location of the coolant sensor... Anyne else want to help me out here

 

intermidate shafts are interchangable...you just need to use a 94+ seal if you use it in a cable tranny...


OBD1 and OBD0 motors are interchangeable too...the cooling fan switch is just in a different spot (on the back of the block on a OBD0 and on the thremostat on a OBD1) and the plugs are different... OBD1 uses the same plug as damn near anything that is two wire on either motor, easy to find...wire it either way, polarity doesnt matter...

Make sure that you have the right intermediate shaft for the right tranny. The Auto and Manual tranny intermediate shafts are aholot different.
