look you need to say what kind of motor you have. i had a similar problem with my integra motor and i replaced the iac (idle air control valve) and that didn't fix it and it cost me 200 dollars. first check your coolant level and see if it is low. if the coolant level is fine then you probably have a problem with the fit(fast idle thermo valve) this part is attached directly to the bottom of your throttle body and has 2 coolant lines connected to it. inside this valve there is a white plastic retention cap that is threaded into the housing. this cap comes unscrewed after a long period of time. to check to see if this is the source of your problems take the intake tube off. INSIDE the throttle body on the bottom there should be 1 or 2 holes. one leads to the aic the other lead to the fit. put your finger over the hole and your idle should level out. if you aren't sure which hole it will be the one with a major amount of vacum, put your finger over one hole and then the other. you can either buy a new fit or if you are technicaly inclined you can fix the one you have. i hope this helps i know it took me a couple of weeks to figure that ---- out. good luck let me know if it works
