Hey guys I'm about to buy the Apexi kit for my 99Dx and wanted to know what you all think about it? I love the ball bearing feature but I think the Greddy kit has a better exhaust manifold design. Anyone know if the kit is water cooled or only oil like the Greddy? Thanks

I got my Epoxy turbo kit
BOV and pipes hooked up togethet with Epoxy .
Just joking around. Almost everyone here has a Ghetto Turbo kit or a Homemadeturbo kit....whatever you want to call it.

But HMT convinced me to build my own.

well i'm no rich kid, I am in fact a poor student and can only afford malt liquor most of the time and skip meals to save up for my turbo adventures. I would build my own but I found a place that will sell me the Apexi kit w/ intercooler for $1800 shipped. I realize I could build my own for around $900 but I would like to start with all new parts. Now all I need is a D16Y8 intake manifold and some 450cc's to complete the kit ---- RRRs and mystery boxes! anyone know if the turbo is water cooled? I have asked many people and all I get is "i dunno" thanks!

 

The Greddy SOHC kit I touched was water cooled. The IHI RHB5 in my roomie's Suby RX is watercooled. I'd guess your Apexi kit is water cooled.

Just divert the coolant lines running thru your throttlebody and it'll be fine.
