ok so after my downpipe most cars have that flex pipe section right...i don't have that yet do i really need it?

 

It is if you dont want your exhaust to crack.

 

I say its a must.. I had pretty solid mounts and my exhaust hangers would always break.

 

They are fairly cheap on Ebay, or from your local exhasust shop.

 

I use a flexpipe, but if you use those Factory Honda spring bolts that origionally connected your cat to your header pipe, do they do the same thinge essentially?

 

yup but you have to use the "ball socket" flange setup, And most of the factory ball socket flanges are really small around 2 1/4 and maybe 2 1/2. So I normally use standard 3in flanges (flat) with no cat convertor.

Very true I've alway's had flexpipes in my setups and never had any exhaust problems (except for that SSauto mani, but thats another story).
