forged pistons and rods
I have a d14z2 which is a commonly found engine in europe. The problem is that i've searched alot for forged pistons and rods and couldn't find any for my engine and engine swaps are very expensive here. Anyone know of a d14 forged rod or piston? And one more thing.. My engine block looks very similar to some d16s we have in europe, is there any possibility to use d16 rods and pistons with a d16 cranck in a d14

do you have the bore/stroke specificications?
more than likely the rods wont work, d16 rods wont even work in the d15s and the cranks dont swap, but if your bore is the same that might be a possibility, and then you could just get custom rods and youd be set

Like he said.
if your engine wasn't in a US model car.....there most likely isn't aftermarket parts for it...some things you can use from the SOHC 1.6's
It think the pistons are the same bore though...get custom rod's made...custom is your only way

sounds like you should use d16 or d15 aftermarket pistons and a custom rod check out www.crower.com they will cost ya but they will make whatever spec you want
