Nope. I've swapped my 2000 Integra 0BD2b-OBD1 with no problems. No OBD1 dizzy required.

Nope, no dizzy swap. Only thing that some people run into problems with is there IACV. Not sure on every car which this applies.

the following rules apply for the '3 wire' iacv plug on obd2 civics:

1) all obd2 b series have 2 wire iacv (so you don't have to worry about it
2) all manual obd2 ex and hx (vtec equipped sohc's), also have the two wire iacv already
3) all other sohc's have the 3 wire iacv and need to be switched to a 2 wire

the 3 wire has a ground, a positive and a negative. i found a thread showing that you can ground the negative and make a 3 wire iacv work. i have to find the post though. i need to try it since i have my conversion cable and computer chipped weeks ago.

this was jacked from another thread from another site and is not the thread iam talking about. but it references the same idea. the thread iam talking about earlier has a better description and ill try to find it.

Ok dude I just finished doing this for my 1996 Civic CX. I am running it with an P75 ECU and it run's great. All you need to do for the IACV 3 wire to work with OBD1 ECU is:

On the OBD2 connector put a Jumper on terminals A12 to A14 and these connect to the A9 terminal on the OBD1 side. The third wire is A13 on the OBD2 connector and it goes to A23 on the OBD1 side.

That's all dude now your friend does not need to change the intake manifold.

well i converted to obd1 on a 96 civic and all i got was a code 14 CEL which = iacv. so from personal experience tell ur friend to shut his hole until he knows what he is talking about.
