I'm using a GM 3 Bar Map Sensor....
Every map sensor I've used so far has broke, even with the missing link. So my friend and I put in a GM 3 bar map sensor. We triple checked the wiring and for vac leaks, and everything was fine. But know my car idles kind funny and I'm running really rich under boost and sometimes with 50% throttle not under boost. It is very inconsistent, sometimes it runs good and sometimes it runs like ----. Has anyone else ever done this before. Or does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Well you cant just use a GM 3bar map sensor with a stock ecu. You have to have some type of device that will allow to change the correct voltage of what the map sensor reads, because a stock honda map sensor and a gm map sensor are different.

Hondata or something like that.. I am gonna move this post to the enginemanagment section, Joseph davis could probably enlighten you a bit better than I could.
I dont think you can use the AFC controllers to modify that voltage..

Uhm, I think I recall an AFC having different settings for sensor type input and sensor type output, but I don't know of what sensor type a GM 3 bar would fall under. Some of the Supras (?) and other makes have 2.5 bar MAP sensors - I believe the turbo Mopars are 2.5 bar.
Using a GM 3 bar MAP is like having an AFC boost hack with fuel at -60%. The AEM EMS guys drive around on their 3 bar sensors and 780-900cc injectors off the stock ECU when the EMS invariably ***** itself.
You can make the GM 3 bar work, but it'll take a little finessing... AFC and/or tweaking your ECU's program. It might be a bit of a tuning nightmare - I sure wouldn't volunteer to sort it out for you.
