What are the diffence between the to and do they make flanges for a 14b on a std manifold

 

HF has a bit smaller runners than the STD, but they are pretty much the same thing, HF/STD/CX adapters all work together, they have the exact same flange on the bottoms.

and yes a STD to 14b adapter will work, example a HF to T25 adapter is the exact same thing.

 

You know, I have read hundreds of time that a STD mani is the same as an HF, but I have a 91 HB STD and the ------- thing just has a normal exhaust manifold, wf is the deal? I bought the car from the original owner and I now he didn't change anything, he was studying to be a chiropracter and doesn't know ---- about cars

 

Maybe its canadian models that had it? or vise versa.. I know the STD 4speed model did come with the precat version.

Yes, honda does make one, it fits HF/STD/CX

part# 18153-PM3-003 (roughly 12-15 bucks)

 

Yea, I have seen that pic, that is why I was like WTF. I think my car was actually made in Canada, so maybe the US STD's are the ones that have the pre-cat version. Hmmm, my wife's Protege 5 has a pre-cat style manifold, wonder if it could be turbo'd HMT style?
